Sergio serves a number of roles within our organization. As Chief Financial & Technology Officer, he is a member of our senior management team. Sergio’s experience with a variety of businesses and industries enables him to provide valuable perspective and advice. In addition, his easygoing personality and communication skills make him ideally suited to develop and maintain client relationships, both personal and corporate.

Sergio has 30 years of broad-based domestic and international experience in finance, management and administration. Following an 11-year Corporate Finance career with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, which took him from Toronto to New York, Sao Paulo, Santiago and London, Sergio joined Wood Gundy, a major Canadian investment firm, as a senior member of the Fixed Income Group.

In 1990, he co-founded A-T Financial Information, a Chicago-based real-time financial market data solutions company. As the firm’s Director of Finance and Administration and member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Sergio spearheaded the successful sale of the company in 1999 to Primark Corporation, remaining with the company for two more years.

For the last several years before joining The Bensman Group, Sergio co-founded Shoreline Residential Architecture, a developer of luxury homes on Chicago’s North Shore, and two fine wine businesses.

Personal
Sergio was born in Toronto. He and his wife Lucy have three children and live in Lake Forest. Sergio is an avid wine enthusiast, enjoys squash and tennis, has served several non-profit organizations (including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lake Forest Open Lands Association, Meals on Wheels, Lake Forest High School Foundation and Church of the Holy Spirit) and travels extensively.
