Joel is a Certified Public Account (CPA) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) with an extensive background in the insurance, investment and financial services industries. Utilizing his 20+ years of experience in financial services, Joel manages our Asset Management Division, helping clients with greater than $2,000,000 in investable assets achieve their goals. In addition to helping clients, Joel oversees all facets of the firm’s operations, including business development, strategic planning and implementation.

Joel has significant involvement with selected clients, including family offices and high net worth individuals. With a specialty of developing the firm’s strategic alliances and building the firm’s asset management practice, Joel has had a major impact on the organization’s overall growth.

Prior to joining The Bensman Group in September 2002, Joel worked at Arthur Andersen, Allstate Insurance Company, and Capital Resource Management. In his various positions with these organizations, Joel provided institutional and individual business and financial consulting. He was also instrumental in developing investment policy and strategies for these companies and their clients.

Joel has three children and lives in Northbrook, Illinois with his wife, Randi. He is a big Cubs and Blackhawks fan.
